Nature?  Museums?  Websites?  Blogs? Through other people?  Dreams? 

The inspiration always there.  The secret is having your eyes open and being aware of what is surrounding you. 
 

When we see the world with a “Been there.  Done that.” filter, we sometimes miss the inspiration that is right in front of us.
 

So....   look with your eyes open.

March Madness

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament started on Thursday and social media is flooded with #marchmadness posts.  Our favorite tweets are from Nike.  Nike is consistent with their marketing images and messaging.  Their image-enhanced tweets of the teams that they sponsor with sneakers and gear have amazing images paired with copy to ignite and empower their brand.  No wonder that they are our favorite!

Award Season

It is award season.  Just this month we had the Grammy Awards, and The Academy Awards.  Locally, the Achievement in Marketing Awards were January 18 and the Addy awards were February 21. 

Hats off to all who have been honored in any way in 2013!  It is, and will always be an honor to be recognized for great work. 

Last Saturday night EclipseCorp and the owners of EclipseCorp were recognized for their contributions to EOR (Ethiopian Orphan Relief).  We joked that the trophy for EOR Ambassador was bigger than the Addy trophy or Achievement in Marketing award that we received earlier this year.  But in thinking about it, if trophy size were to correspond to importance, it should be bigger.  By supporting a cause that is near and dear to an employee, we have made a difference.  We haven’t saved the world.  But we are making a difference.

Pay it forward.  Good Karma.  What goes around, comes around.  However you say it – it feels good to do good.

There is no monetary benefit to donating to charity.  The benefit is simply from knowing that you have done the right thing. 

Our children see that we are giving back to our community.  Our employees see that we are giving back to our community.  Our community is a better place & we feel that we have done our small part.

So, whatever cause is near and dear to your heart - get involved.
